SOME PINEBROOK DETAILS

Here is some more detailed information about our Pinebrook Weekend...

We will meet at the church by 5:15 PM Friday night, Feb. 7th, as the bus will leave at 5:30 SHARP!! It is a 2hr+ drive. We will be stopping at McDonald's for dinner on the way up, so bring some money for that or pack a dinner. We will check in and register around 8:00-8:30 PM. Friday night there is an assembly and then free time until lights out at 11:30 PM.

Saturday begins with breakfast and then individual Bible study groups, assembly and then lunch. Afternoon is free time until 4:00 PM. Activities on campus are: Indoor swimming, volleyball, basketball, soccer, street hockey, flag football, and snow tubing (if weather permits). Paintball will be offered on campus at an approximate price of $20.00.

Saturday night after dinner and assembly, we will meet as a group, eat pizza and reflect on how God may have spoken to you over the weekend.

Sunday morning we will pack before breakfast, have assembly church service and after we have lunch at Noon, we will load the bus and head back to the church. We should arrive back at the church by 3:30-4:00 and each youth will be able to call home and give a more approximate time of arrival.

The speaker will be Jeff Berger. With over two decades of youth ministry experience, Jeff is a veteran youth pastor, national youth speaker, camp director, chocolate-lover, and Dallas Cowboys fan (don't hold that against him)!
In addition to serving as a Youth Pastor at Mohn's Hill E.C. Church near Reading, PA, Jeff speaks to youth across the country, writes and presents workshops in youth ministry training for Group (http://www.group.com/), speaks at workcamps for Christian Endeavor, and directs middle school camps at Twin Pines Camp, Conference, and Retreat Center. Once again you will have the opportunity to participate in a mission project. The project is "Got Hope?" We need to create a 'got hope?' commercial, so put on your thinking caps!!! We also encourage you to save your quarters and bring them to youth group to add to our "piggy bank". Each quarter you donate will provide a meal of rice, soy, vitamins, minerals, and dehydrated vegetables mix to children and families facing hunger...(provided through Global Aid Network). Full, detailed schedules will be provided once they are received. We have a total of 22 Kids and 4 Leaders going to Pinebrook this year.... Yay!!!

PINEBROOK FORMS & MONEY DUE SUN. JAN. 3

WE NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO PINEBROOK OR NOT... NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, JAN. 3RD. PLEASE Call Ms. Glady or Mr. Bryan ASAP with a "YES" or "NO" even if you haven't handed in your paperwork yet!!! We need to get checks from the treasurer and our mission committee by Monday, Jan. 4th.
Please bring or mail your forms and $25 in by Sunday, Jan. 3rd. Thank you!!

TALENT & COMEDY NIGHT, TUES. JAN. 19TH

COME ONE.... COME ALL.... Junior and Senior High Youth!!! Tune your instruments, exercise your vocal chords, practice your jokes, skits and dances!! You could be on your way to becoming the next Forks Youth Group Idol!!!

Our meeting will begin with dinner and proceed directly into our talent performances. There will be prizes for the top three (3) contestants!!

ALL Youth are strongly encouraged to participate in some way. If you don't want to do something solo, grab a friend or two and perform together!!!

WINER JAM 2010 CHRISTIAN BAND CONCERT

On Thursday, January 28th, both the Junior and Senior High youth will be attending this Christian Band Concert at The Sovereign Center in Reading. Ms. Glady will be taking everyone up in Clifford (our big red bus). This is Christian Music's Largest Annual Tour!! Meet at the church at 5:30 PM.

This event is hosted by Guest Speaker, Tony Nolan and the band NewSong.
The $10 cost will be covered by Youth Group funds, so there is no cost to the youth!! We hope every one of you will be able to join us!!

Permission slips are due back to a leader by the January 19th meeting (our Talent & Comedy Night).

Tuesday, December 22nd CHRISTMAS CAROLING PARTY!!

Hey, Kids! We need ALL of you to come out next Tuesday night, Dec. 22, and lend your voices to go caroling to the residents at Tel Hai Retirement and Nursing Home. If there are more than 15 of us going, I will get CLIFFORD and drive us!!! Meet at the church no later than 6:00 PM (eat dinner first)... then we will come back by 7:30 for Hot Chocolate, Donuts and Cookies... YUM!!!

Bible Dollar Christmas Shoppe

Hey Kids, Wasn't it GREAT shopping Tuesday night? I hope you each were able to buy all the gifts you needed for your family and friends!! Wrapping them looked like more of blast! The pics are posted to the left (even though they were an afterthought and a lot of you aren't in the pics... sorry!)

Bible Dollar Christmas Shoppe - December 15th

Hey Kids!!! Tuesday night, Dec. 15th is your chance to "buy" gifts for your family and friends with you Bible Dollars. I know that most of you are owed some Bible dollars from the past few weeks and you will receive them before the shopping begins!
REMEMBER... Our meeting time will go until 8:00 PM, so make sure your parents know this! You will want time to wrap your gifts before taking them home!
